The idea has been used and misused over and over again: you wear your heart on your sleeve. But would not it be lovely if one wears his or her heart close to where it really is? Why wear your heart on your sleeve when it looks so good wearing it right in the middle of your chest—for everyone to see.
The heart is one of the classical symbols of love. There is no mistaking it. It is the simplest way to represent love in any form. It stands for emotions, for affection and, of course, for love.
This must be the reason why people wear their hearts on their neck, as part of a heart pendant necklace. This is an elegant way to declare: I am in love and I am happy. Or that I am hopeful with love.
There are many images which alludes to the heart. Religious images, pagan images, allusions to history even, the heart is easily recognizable.
So wear your heart where it must be worn: right across your chest for everyone to see—as a means of declaration. Be it made in gold, silver, platinum or diamond studded, it can only mean one thing: you believe in love and you want the world to know.
